The wallpaper manufacturer has joined the league of large leading German brands and received the award at the Hotel Adlon from Dr Florian Langenscheidt.

For wallpaper manufacturer rasch, 2012 did not just end well, but in a truly award-winning way. Because this traditional company from Bramsche was presented with the "Deutsche Standards Brand Award" on 22 November 2012 at the Hotel Adlon in Berlin. As part of a large brand gala, the company received the award personally from Dr Florian Langenscheidt, publisher of the anniversary edition of "Brands of the Century". From A for Audi through N for Nivea to Z for Zeiss, rasch now belongs to the exclusive group of around 250 German brands which are listed in the compendium "Brands of the Century – Beacons on the Sea of Brands".

"We are very proud of this award and it is a great honour for us to receive it. In addition, the sculpture by Mike Meiré looks simply fantastic," said a delighted Dario Rasch. The internationally renowned designer created the high quality award especially for the presentation ceremony, and it was produced by top porcelain manufacturers Fürstenberg. Mike Meiré was also responsible for the design of the anniversary edition of "Brands of the Century", which is now in its tenth year of publication by the Verlag Deutsche Standards EDITIONEN. The initial print run is around 20,000 copies which are available in German, English and Mandarin. As one of the largest leading German brands, rasch was portrayed here in detail in both word and picture. It gives an insight into the history of the wallpaper manufacturer as well as the successful growth of the brand.

The company, which was established in 1861, now looks after a range of over 6000 wallpapers which turn walls into a home. Over the years, the rasch brand has succeeded in taking the market by surprise with its unusual designs and in-house developed styles. But the company has never forgotten its traditional values and always ensures it gives creative freedom to the spirit of the times through the use of modern textures. This recipe for success has enabled the reliable and successful development of innovative approaches. And the same still applies today.
