In the Woods 2013

Mobile phones and the Internet mean that nowadays people permanently exist in parallel worlds and are constantly being challenged mentally in a way their emotions are not. People long for genuineness and honesty. The "In the Woods" collection takes account of the desire for authenticity and for somewhere to curl up. Here, too, the design has taken nature as its model. Branch shapes, leaf motifs and bamboo reeds are enlarged to such an extent that this is no longer a straightforward representation but an artistic transformation of the motif. The colour scheme remains close to the natural model. Authenticity remains central to the aesthetic and restores to the home the feeling of being a real haven. Here the picture on the wall becomes a characterful main actor.
